Republicans have decried the bills as an infringement on Second Amendment rights, while gun rights groups have filed a lawsuit to reverse two of the measures. It remains to be seen how the new laws will be implemented and if they will be successful.

Former Fox News producer Abby Grossberg has revealed that her legal team has been contacted by law enforcement authorities regarding recordings of discussions between Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell. Grossberg also revealed that photos of Nancy Pelosi in a swimsuit were plastered all over the office of Fox News host Tucker Carlson. It is unclear if the recordings are related to the Capitol attack or the baseless claims of voter fraud, or if they are being used as evidence in the investigation.
Two former associates of Steve Bannon, Brian Kolfage and Andrew Badolato, have been sentenced to four years and three months in prison for their roles in the fraudulent We Build The Wall fundraising campaign. The two men were accused of using the money for personal expenses, including luxury vacations and home renovations, and had diverted more than $350,000 from the campaign for their own use. Bannon, who served as a top adviser to President Donald Trump, also faces fraud charges in connection with the campaign and is awaiting trial.
After 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers has been traded to the New York Jets, who are hoping he will be the missing piece to their puzzle and help them make a deep playoff run. On Monday, a shooting at Rose State College in Midwest City, Oklahoma, left one person dead and a suspect in custody. The incident appears to be "domestic-related" and the college issued an active shooter warning and cancelled all activities and classes for the day. The Midwest City Police Department is continuing to investigate the shooting.
Alec Baldwin's attorneys have announced that charges against him in the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his Western movie "Rust" have been dropped. The incident occurred in 2021 when Baldwin was rehearsing a scene with a gun, which went off and killed Hutchins and wounded director Joel Souza. The office of New Mexico First Judicial District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies has declined comment and it is unclear if charges against co-defendant and "Rust" armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, are still in play. Baldwin's attorneys have encouraged a proper investigation into the facts and circumstances of the incident.
