The incident occurred around 5:45 p.m. near the 28000 block of Rancho California Road, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office. Spelling, 52, was driving with seven children in the car—four of her own and three friends—when another driver allegedly ran a red light while speeding and struck their vehicle, her spokesperson confirmed to NBC News. The actress and the children were transported to the hospital in three separate ambulances and treated for injuries including cuts, bruises, contusions, and concussions, according to TMZ.

Video footage obtained by TMZ showed Spelling speaking animatedly with first responders at the scene. Photos published by the outlet depicted Spelling’s car as significantly less damaged than the other vehicle involved.

Tori Spelling is best known for her roles in “Beverly Hills, 90210,” “Scary Movie 2,” and the reality TV show “Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood” with her former husband Dean McDermott. She shares five children with McDermott, ranging in age from 9 to 19.

This is not the first time Spelling has been involved in a car accident with her children. In 2011, she tweeted about a “pretty big accident” while trying to evade a paparazzo following her and her kids to school. She described taking down a “whole wall” of the school and expressed concern for her then-unborn child. Despite the crash, the paparazzo attempted to take photos until other parents intervened.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the cause of Thursday’s collision.
