Last night, the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) were held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The night was full of surprises, with a handful of artists taking home coveted “moon person” statuettes.

Taylor Swift was the biggest winner of the night, taking home the top prize for her “Anti-Hero” music video. She also won best pop video, video of the year, artist of the year, song of the year, and best new artist. The night’s first presenters were NSYNC, who reunited to hand the best pop video award to Swift.

The best collaboration award went to Karol G and Shakira for their song “TQG”. Nicki Minaj won best hip-hop for her song “Super Freaky Girl”, and SZA won best R&B for her song “Shirt”. Push performance of the year was awarded to April 2023.

In addition to her awards, Swift also gave a special performance of her song “Midnights”. She said, “I can’t believe it was a year ago that I announced the ‘Midnights’ album.”
