Taylor Swift was the biggest winner of the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, taking home the top prize for her "Anti-Hero" music video as well as five other awards. Other winners included Karol G and Shakira for best collaboration, Nicki Minaj for best hip-hop, and SZA for best R&B. Taylor Swift also gave a special performance of her song "Midnights" and NSYNC reunited to present her with the best pop video award.

Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was hospitalized after being attacked in a South Florida gym on Tuesday. Video showed him with blood on his face, and attorney Lance Lazzaro said three or four people had beaten him up. 6ix9ine has been involved in several legal issues, including a 2018 arrest, and the identity of the attackers and the motive for the attack remain unknown.
