A Clayton County doctor and a local hospital are facing a lawsuit after a baby was allegedly decapitated during delivery. On Wednesday, attorneys representing the baby’s parents, Jessica Ross and Treveon Taylor, held a news conference in Atlanta to announce the lawsuit against Dr. Tracey St. Julian and Southern Regional Medical Center.

According to the lawsuit, Ross went to the hospital on July 9 to have her son. During the delivery, Dr. St. Julian allegedly used too much force and pulled on the baby’s head and neck, resulting in the baby being decapitated.

“When the womb was opened, the feet came out, the body came out, and there was no head,” said Dr. Roderick Edmond, one of the couple’s lawyers.

The couple’s attorneys expressed their shock and sadness at the tragedy. “They were so excited about the birth of their first child,” said attorney Cory Lynch.

The lawsuit seeks damages for the emotional distress the couple has suffered as a result of the incident. The attorneys have not yet specified an amount.

The couple’s attorneys are urging the public to be aware of the risks of childbirth and to be vigilant in ensuring that medical professionals are held accountable for their actions. They are also calling for an investigation into the incident to ensure that similar tragedies do not occur in the future.
