At least nine people, including three children, were killed and dozens more injured in a Russian missile strike on a crowded pizza restaurant in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk on Tuesday evening. The attack damaged 18 other buildings in the area.

The popular restaurant was reduced to twisted metal and concrete after two missiles slammed into the building as people were having dinner. Two sisters, both 14, and a 17-year-old were among those killed, according to a statement from the educational department of Kramatorsk’s city council.

The attack comes as Russia turns its attention back to the war in Ukraine, which has been ongoing since 2014. In an interview with CNN, Jon Huntsman, former U.S. ambassador to Russia, said the armed mutiny launched by Wagner Group chief Yevgeny Prigozhin on Friday embarrassed Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Putin has been humiliated,” Huntsman said. “But I’m here to tell you I think we’re witnessing the final saga of Vladimir Putin. He still controls the state. So we’re not going to know in the days and weeks and even the months ahead what the likely outcome for Vladimir Putin will be.”

The attack on the pizza restaurant has been condemned by the international community, with many calling for an end to the violence in Ukraine. The Ukrainian government has accused Russia of violating international law and has called for an investigation into the incident.
