Lori Vallow Daybell was found guilty last week of conspiring to kill and killing her two youngest children, 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 16-year-old Tylee Ryan, as well as conspiring to kill Tammy Daybell, her fifth husband’s previous wife. Now, Vallow Daybell has been indicted for a second time in Arizona on charges that she conspired to kill her niece’s ex-husband.

Vallow Daybell was already facing a separate felony case in Arizona, after a grand jury indicted her in 2021 on a charge of conspiring to kill her fourth husband, Charles Vallow. Charles Vallow was shot and killed by Vallow Daybell’s brother, Alex Cox, in July 2019.

The Idaho case included bizarre claims that Vallow Daybell called her son and daughter zombies and said she was a goddess sent to usher in the Biblical apocalypse. Vallow Daybell’s attorney, John Prior, argued that his client was mentally ill and that her mental illness prevented her from understanding the consequences of her actions.

The Arizona case is still pending, and Vallow Daybell is scheduled to be arraigned on June 7. If convicted, she could face a sentence of life in prison.

Vallow Daybell’s trial in Idaho is scheduled to begin in July. She is facing charges of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and other charges. She has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
