He had been battling medical issues for several years and was surrounded by family and friends when he passed away peacefully. Smash Mouth is best known for their 1999 hit “All Star” and has sold over 10 million albums worldwide, scoring two No. 1 hit singles, five Top 40 singles and a Grammy nomination. Harwell's death has been met with an outpouring of love and support from fans and fellow musicians.

Accused Murderer Claims He Was Out for a Routine Drive During University of Idaho Student Murders

Bryan Kohberger, accused of murdering four University of Idaho students in November, has claimed he was out for a routine drive when the killings occurred. His attorneys have objected to the prosecution's request for an alibi, and the case is ongoing. The victims of the murder were Ethan Chapin, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Kaylee Goncalves.

Her fifth husband, Chad Daybell, is also awaiting trial on the same murder charges, and the sentencing of Vallow Daybell is expected to bring closure to the case and provide answers to the many questions that still remain.

Five Patriot Front Members Convicted of Conspiracy to Riot at Idaho Pride Event

On June 11, 2022, 31 members of the white nationalist hate group Patriot Front, including its founder, were arrested in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho after a witness reported seeing them loading into a U-Haul van. Police found riot gear, a smoke grenade, shin guards and shields inside the van, which was on its way to a Pride in the Park event. Five of the members were convicted of misdemeanor charges of conspiracy to riot, sending a strong message against the group and their hateful rhetoric.

University of Idaho Reverses Course, Delays Demolition of House Where Four College Students Were Brutally Stabbed to Death

The University of Idaho has reversed its decision to demolish the house where four college students were brutally stabbed to death last November, following outrage from some of the victims' families. The university has apologized for not consulting the families and has promised to work with them to ensure that the house is preserved in a way that honors the victims, and to create a memorial for the victims. The university has not yet announced what will happen to the house after October.

A rare solar storm is bringing the northern lights to 17 states in the United States, including Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Maryland. The best time to view the northern lights is at night, between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. local time, and away from the lights of a city. Cities such as Helena, Montana; Montpelier, Vermont; Minneapolis and Milwaukee are expected to have “highly active auroral displays” visible overhead.

Latah County Prosecutors Seek Death Penalty for Bryan Kohberger in the Murder of Four University of Idaho Students

Latah County prosecutors announced on Monday that they will pursue the death penalty against Bryan Kohberger, 28, who is accused of murdering four University of Idaho students in November. The State has identified "aggravating circumstances" in the killings, and Kohberger has entered not guilty pleas on all charges. The trial is expected to begin later this year, and the decision to pursue the death penalty has yet to be commented on by the victims' families.
