Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon is facing a lawsuit from a Manhattan law firm that represented him in several high-profile legal battles. The law firm, Davidoff Hutcher & Citron LLP, is suing Bannon for breach of contract, alleging that he has an outstanding bill of more than $480,000 for legal services provided from November 2020 to November 2022.

The firm represented Bannon in criminal cases stemming from his refusal to comply with a congressional subpoena and from allegations that he duped donors who gave money to build a wall on the southern U.S. border. The lawsuit seeks payment of an outstanding bill for legal services rendered in the amount of $480,487.87, in addition to scheduling a hearing on the reasonable attorneys’ fees the firm is contractually entitled to as the prevailing party in this litigation.

Bannon is a conservative strategist and longtime ally of former President Donald Trump. He has been involved in several high-profile legal battles, including when he was subpoenaed by the House Intelligence Committee in 2019.

The lawsuit is the latest legal trouble for Bannon, who has been accused of failing to pay his legal bills in the past. In 2017, a different law firm sued Bannon for failing to pay more than $200,000 in legal fees.

The case is currently pending in New York state court. It is unclear whether Bannon will contest the lawsuit or if he will agree to pay the outstanding legal fees.
