Eagles Soar to Super Bowl LVII with Dominant 31-7 Win Over 49ers

The Philadelphia Eagles are headed to Super Bowl LVII after a dominant 31-7 win over the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game on Sunday. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts led the way with one of the team’s four rushing touchdowns, while the 49ers were left without two of their quarterbacks due to injuries.

The 49ers’ rookie starting quarterback, Brock Purdy, suffered a right elbow injury in the first quarter, on a hit by Eagles linebacker Haason Reddick that forced a fumble. Purdy re-entered the game but the 49ers offense struggled to tally any points. Josh Johnson, the fourth string quarterback for San Francisco, filled in for Purdy until the third quarter before being ruled out of the game with a concussion.

The Eagles, who won the Super Bowl five years ago with a different coach and quarterback, will try to do it again behind the formidable duo of Hurts and coach Nick Sirianni. The Chiefs later on Sunday got a three-point victory on a last-second field goal in the AFC Championship game, ending the Cincinnati Bengals’ run through the playoffs.

The Eagles will now face the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII, in what is sure to be an exciting matchup. The Eagles have been on a roll since Hurts took over as the starting quarterback, and they will look to continue their winning streak in the biggest game of the year. The 49ers, meanwhile, will have to regroup and prepare for next season, after a disappointing end to their playoff run.
