Hero of 9/11 Tragedy Dies After Rescuing Child From Lake Michigan

Luke Laidley, a 43-year-old father of three from the Chicago area, died on July 4th after jumping into Lake Michigan to save a child who had fallen off a raft. He was a 9/11 survivor and was remembered by his family as a hero in life and in death. His selfless act of heroism is a testament to the courage and bravery of the people of Chicago.
