A federal jury in the United States has found Stephen Tyler Bieneman not guilty of misdemeanor assault in connection with an incident at McMurdo Station in Antarctica. Bieneman was visibly emotional upon hearing the verdict, and his attorney Birney Bervar said it vindicated his client.
