Former President Donald Trump announced Thursday evening that he will no longer hold a press conference or release his so-called extensive report that he claimed would refute the Fulton County indictment allegations against him.

Trump had previously announced on social media that he would present a “large, complex, detailed but irrefutable report” on the 2020 presidential election in Georgia at a major news conference in Bedminster, New Jersey, on Monday.

However, Trump said in his Thursday evening statement that his lawyers would prefer to present the evidence of election fraud and irregularities in formal legal filings as they fight to dismiss the indictment.

“Rather than releasing the Report on the Rigged & Stolen Georgia 2020 Presidential Election on Monday, my lawyers would prefer putting this, I believe, Irrefutable & Overwhelming evidence of Election Fraud & Irregularities in formal Legal Filings as we fight to dismiss this disgraceful Indictment,” Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social.

The former president also said that based on the results of the report, all charges should be dropped against him and others, and that there would be a complete exoneration.

Trump and 18 other defendants were indicted in the election interference case in Georgia on Monday. The indictment alleges that Trump and his associates sought to influence the outcome of the election by pressuring Georgia officials to “find” votes to overturn the results.
