The situation unfolded around 10:45 a.m. on Saturday in the Dogwood Lakes area of Hampton, Georgia. Henry County officials posted on Twitter and Facebook on Saturday afternoon that the suspect is still at large and the public should avoid the area.

Henry County is about 30 miles south of Atlanta with a population of about 8,000. The investigation is ongoing and no further details have been released.
