At 4:30 a.m., a suspect detonated a device on the sidewalk outside of a Truist Bank ATM and then drove away. Six minutes later, the suspect detonated an explosive device on the sidewalk in front of a Nike store. Finally, at 4:45 a.m., a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a Safeway grocery store.
The police department said it is believed the suspect was targeting commercial establishments and not members of the public. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, though unspecified damage was reported at each location.
