Dominion Voting Systems is seeking to call some of Fox News’ top executives and most well-known hosts to the witness stand in its $1.6 billion defamation case against the right-wing network. This was revealed in a court filing on Monday.

At a hearing in Delaware Superior Court, Judge Eric Davis said he had received a letter from Fox saying it would be an “inconvenience” for Rupert Murdoch, Fox Corp. Chairman, to provide testimony in the courtroom. Dominion also said it wishes to call Abby Grossberg, the Fox News producer who filed lawsuits against the network last week, to the stand.

Among the network personnel that the voting technology company wants to call as witnesses are Fox News chief executive Suzanne Scott; Fox News President Jay Wallace; hosts Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Maria Bartiromo, Laura Ingraham, and Bret Baier; and former executive Bill Sammon and politics editor Chris Stirewalt.

Lawyers for Fox News argued that Murdoch should be excused from testifying in court, citing his recent engagement and plans to travel more in the coming years. However, Judge Davis expressed skepticism towards this argument.

The case is ongoing and a trial date has yet to be set. It remains to be seen whether the Fox News executives and hosts will be called to the witness stand.
