Authorities in Moscow, Idaho have arrested 28-year-old Bryan Christopher Kohberger in connection with the fatal stabbing of four University of Idaho students. The victims, Kaylee Goncalves, 21; Madison Mogen, 21; Xana Kernodle, 20; and Ethan Chapin, 20, were found dead November 13 in an off-campus home.

The arrest of Kohberger came almost seven weeks after the murders, and has left the college town of Moscow shaken. The town had not seen a murder in seven years, and many in the community have grown frustrated with the limited information authorities have shared as their investigation developed.

Law enforcement sources say FBI agents tracked the 28-year-old’s movements days leading up to his arrest at his parents’ home in eastern Pennsylvania. However, due to state law, authorities have yet to release key details in the case, such as whether the suspect knew the victims, what his alleged motive might have been, and what finally prompted his arrest.

The father of one of the victims, Kaylee Goncalves, has spoken out following the arrest. He said, “We’re just trying to get through this. We’re trying to get justice for our daughter.”

The investigation into the case is ongoing, and authorities are combing through every aspect of Kohberger’s life. It is unclear when more information will be released.
