Arrest of 28-Year-Old Bryan Christopher Kohberger in Connection with Fatal University of Idaho Stabbings

Authorities have arrested 28-year-old Bryan Christopher Kohberger in connection with the fatal stabbings of four University of Idaho students in November. Bill Thompson, a prosecutor in Latah County, Idaho, has asked anyone who knows Kohberger to call the police tip line to share the information. Kohberger, a graduate student at Washington State University’s Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology, is being held without bond in Pennsylvania and will be held without bond in Idaho once he is returned. Thompson said investigators believe Kohberger broke into the University of Idaho students’ home near campus “with the intent to commit murder.” He has asked the public to report any information they have about Kohberger to help investigators understand what happened and why. Kohberger’s attorney said he plans to waive his extradition hearing so he can be quickly brought to Idaho to face the charges.
