Four inmates escaped from a Macon, Georgia jail on October 16th, with the last one, Joey Fournier, being apprehended near Stockbridge, Georgia on Saturday. Fournier was being held on a murder charge and the other three inmates will now face additional charges for their escape. Local and federal law enforcement agencies worked together to locate and apprehend Fournier, thanking the public for their assistance in the manhunt.

Witnesses reported that Kessler was involved in a physical altercation with counter-protestors at a pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian rally in Thousand Oaks, California. South Carolina State Police arson investigators have charged a 33-year-old man with attempted murder in connection with a house fire that left six people dead and one injured. The survivor was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition and the suspect is being held at the Colleton Detention Center. Donald Santini, 65, has been arrested in connection with the 1984 killing of a woman in Florida. He was arrested earlier this month in California and has since been returned to Florida to face charges. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has stated that the arrest brings closure to a long-standing cold case and provides justice for the victim and her family. Santini is currently being held in the Hillsborough County Jail without bond.
After 34 years, the San Diego County Sheriff's Office has identified the remains of a woman found near campsites in Warner Springs, California in 1986 as Claudette Jean Zebolsky Powers. DNA testing and genetic genealogy were used to identify Powers, who had been living with her husband in Washington state before moving to San Diego in 1983 or 1984. The Sheriff's Office is now hoping to identify both Powers' killer and the male victim who was also found murdered nearby. On April 6th, a missing child alert was issued for two Florida girls, Jade Gregory, 12, and Khloe Larsen, 14, who had stolen Gregory's father's car and were believed to be traveling on Interstate 10 toward Louisiana. Two small planes collided midair over a central Florida lake on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in the deaths of four people. First responders rushed to the scene and found one plane 21 feet below the surface and another partly submerged. The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them as the cause of the collision is still under investigation.
