Six people were killed in a small plane crash in Murrieta, California early Saturday morning. The Cessna C550 business jet crashed near the French Valley Airport and all six passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash is still under investigation and the tragedy has left the community in shock.

Tragedy struck the Riverside County Sheriff's Department on Friday when Deputy Darnell Calhoun was shot and killed in the line of duty while responding to a domestic violence call. During a shootout between the second deputy and the suspect, Calhoun was found lying in the street suffering from gunshot injuries and later succumbed to his injuries. Sheriff Chad Bianco expressed his sorrow and asked for the public's help in providing information about the incident. Calhoun had been with the department since 2018 and is survived by his wife and two children.
