However, the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service has not called for raising the number of Palestinians admitted to the U.S., and they remain committed to providing support to refugees entering the U.S., regardless of their nationality or religion. Palestinians may be coming from other parts of the world while they retain their Palestinian citizenship, or they may have been referred as refugees to the U.N. refugee agency by nongovernmental organizations.

Hamas has called on residents of Gaza to reject the evacuation order and accused Israel of using "psychological warfare" against Gazans. The U.N. has urged both sides to de-escalate the situation and to avoid further civilian casualties.

Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry thanked the U.N. Security Council and other countries who agreed to join the force, expressing hope that the mission will bring stability and security to the region.
On September 27th, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library hosted the second 2024 Republican Primary Debate, featuring four candidates and the notable absence of President Donald Trump. The candidates discussed a range of topics, with a notable stance on climate change, almost uniformly rejecting the idea that the planet’s steadily rising temperature was a problem. Despite Trump's absence, his share of the GOP primary vote has grown, and it remains to be seen if this will have any effect on his polling numbers.
David McCallum, a beloved actor known for his roles in "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." and "NCIS", passed away on Monday at the age of 85. He was surrounded by family at New York Presbyterian Hospital when he died of natural causes. CBS released a statement saying that McCallum "led an incredible life, and his legacy will forever live on through his family and the countless hours on film and television that will never go away." He is survived by his wife, two sons, and two grandchildren.
