Coast Guard Deploys Resources to Assist in Search for Suspect in Lewiston Mass Shooting that Left 18 Dead

The Coast Guard is responding to a mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine that left 18 people dead late Wednesday night. The suspect, Robert Card, had been experiencing an "acute" mental health episode and was hearing voices that were saying "horrible" things about him. His vehicle was found abandoned by a boat dock and the Coast Guard has deployed resources to help search for him. He has been charged with eight counts of murder and the investigation is ongoing.

Maine Law Enforcement Searching for “Armed and Dangerous” Person of Interest in Fatal Shooting at Lewiston Bar and Bowling Alley

Maine law enforcement officials are searching for Robert Card, a 40-year-old "person of interest" in the fatal shootings at a Lewiston bar and bowling alley. Michael Sauschuck, the state’s Commissioner of Public Safety, warned residents that Card should be considered armed and dangerous and urged people not to approach him. Between 15 and 20 people have been killed and 50 people were injured in the attack, and the Lewiston Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact law enforcement.
