A 12-year-old boy and 20-year-old Angel Gomez have been charged with murder after the juvenile fatally shot an employee at a Sonic Drive-In restaurant in Texas. The shooting occurred after the employee confronted Gomez for allegedly urinating in the back parking lot. The Keene Police Department is working to determine if the juvenile will be charged as an adult, and the Sonic Drive-In restaurant has since reopened.

A seventh-grader in Michigan is being praised for his quick thinking after taking control of a school bus when the driver lost consciousness. The student, who has not been publicly identified, stepped to the front of the bus and helped bring it to a stop without incident, and is being praised for his bravery. The police and fire departments responded to the scene and treated the driver, who was later taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.
