Gadi Haggai, a 73-year-old Israeli-American dual citizen, was kidnapped by Hamas during an attack on Southern Israel on October 7th. His wife, Judy Weinstein Haggai, is still being held hostage by Hamas. The Hostages and Missing Families Forum has confirmed Haggai's death and called for the Israeli government to take action to bring Weinstein home safely. Haggai was a gifted flautist who had played in the Israeli Defense Forces Orchestra.

Julia Ormond has filed a lawsuit against Harvey Weinstein, accusing him of sexually assaulting her in 1995. The lawsuit, filed in New York state Supreme Court, alleges that Weinstein forced her to perform oral sex on him after what she thought would be a business meeting. Ormond is seeking a level of personal closure by holding Weinstein accountable for his actions and the depth of its harms, joining other actresses Ashley Judd and Rose McGowan in the legal action against Weinstein.
Five men, including Eliyahu "Eli" Weinstein, have been charged with defrauding over 150 investors out of $35 million in a "Ponzi-like scheme." Weinstein was previously convicted of defrauding investors out of $230 million and was released from prison in January 2021. He and the other four men allegedly used false statements and misrepresentations to convince investors to invest in their company, promising returns of up to 10% per month, but instead using the money for their own personal expenses. If convicted, they could face up to 20 years in prison.
