John Drake Jr., the estranged son of Nashville's police chief, was found dead Tuesday night from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a four day manhunt. He was wanted in connection with the shooting of two officers outside a Dollar General store in La Vergne, TN on Saturday. Two police officers in La Vergne, Tennessee were shot Saturday afternoon while investigating a stolen vehicle. The suspect in the shooting has been identified as John C. Drake, Jr., 38, the son of Metro Nashville Police Department Chief John Drake. Boleyjack and Kern, both of whom have been with the La Vergne Police Department for several years, were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police are warning the public not to approach Drake if they see him, as he is considered armed and dangerous.

At least thirteen people were injured in an explosion and fire at a metal plant in Oakwood, Ohio on Tuesday, with four patients being treated at MetroHealth Medical Center, two in critical condition.
