Three Dead, Fifteen Injured in Ohio Highway Bus Accident

On Tuesday morning, a charter bus carrying students and chaperones from the Tuscarawas Valley Local School District in Ohio was rear-ended by a semi-truck, resulting in three fatalities and 15 injuries. Emergency responders arrived on the scene and the injured were taken to local hospitals for treatment, while the school district is offering counseling services to those affected. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the incident.

U.S. Marshals Service Offers $10,000 Reward in Connection with Fatal Shooting of Maryland Judge

Washington County Circuit Court Judge Andrew Wilkinson was fatally shot in a targeted attack outside his home in Hagerstown, Maryland on Friday. The U.S. Marshals Service is now offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Pedro Argote, 49, who is wanted in connection with the killing. Argote has ties to multiple areas outside of Maryland and the Marshals Service is asking anyone with information to contact them.

Train Carrying Hazardous Materials Derails After Bridge Collapse Near Columbus, Mont.

On June 24, 2023, a freight train carrying hazardous materials derailed after a bridge collapse near Columbus, Montana, causing multiple tanker cars to leak petroleum products into the Yellowstone River. Stillwater County Disaster and Emergency Services is working with multiple agencies to assess the environmental impact of the crash and contain the hazardous materials. The cause of the bridge collapse is still under investigation.

Donald Trump to Make First Public Appearance Since Historic Indictment at Georgia GOP Convention

Donald Trump is set to make his first public appearance since his indictment on Saturday, when he will address the Georgia GOP Convention in Columbus. He is facing 31 counts of willful retention of classified documents and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice, and is expected to deliver a grievance-laced takedown of what he has called a biased federal law enforcement apparatus. He will enter his plea of not guilty on Tuesday in Miami, and his speech on Saturday is expected to provide insight into his legal defense strategies.
