Utah man Martin Joseph Robertson was fatally shot by FBI agents on Wednesday while they were attempting to serve an arrest and search warrant in connection to death threats he allegedly made against President Joe Biden and other political figures. Court documents reveal he made numerous threats, including calling Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg a political hack linked to George Soros and plotting to assassinate him. The FBI has not released any further details about the shooting, and the investigation is ongoing.

A joint operation between the FBI and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) has resulted in the arrest of almost 100 people in the US and Australia on child sexual abuse allegations. Following the fatal shooting of two FBI agents in 2021, the FBI and AFP launched an investigation dubbed "Operation Bakis" which led to the arrest of 19 men in Australia and the rescue of 13 children. The FBI is working with international law enforcement partners to identify and apprehend any other individuals involved in the alleged child abuse network.
Negasi Zuberi, also known as "Sakima," "Justin Hyche" and "Justin Kouassi," has been arrested in Nevada for allegedly kidnapping a woman in Oregon and holding her in a cinder block cell. He is also suspected of committing four violent sexual assaults in four states, and is in custody awaiting extradition to Oregon. The FBI is asking anyone with information about Zuberi's alleged crimes to contact them.
Negasi Zuberi, a 29-year-old man from Klamath Falls, Oregon, has been arrested and charged with federal crimes after kidnapping a woman in Seattle, Washington, and holding her captive in a makeshift cinderblock jail cell in his garage. The woman was able to escape and flag down help, and authorities are now looking for additional victims after linking Zuberi to sexual assaults in at least four other states. The FBI is asking anyone with information to contact the Portland Field Office.
Russell Laffitte, the former CEO of Palmetto State Bank, has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison for helping convicted murderer Alex Murdaugh steal nearly $2 million from clients' legal settlements. U.S. District Judge Richard Gergel also ordered Laffitte to pay more than $3 million in restitution, marking the end of a long and complicated investigation into the Murdaugh family finances.
