No one was injured, and the restaurant was able to remain open for the rest of the day. On Friday, a massive traffic pileup on Interstate 39/90 in southern Wisconsin left more than two dozen people injured and the highway blocked for hours due to snow, ice, and whiteout conditions. Beloit Memorial Hospital and Beloit Health System reported treating 27 patients from the accident, though the extent of their injuries was not immediately clear. Emergency crews responded to the multi-vehicle accident in both the north and south lanes of the highway, and the Wisconsin State Patrol said the highway was blocked for hours.
