This follows the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini in morality police custody in September, sparking a wave of protests throughout the country. 700 girls have been affected by toxic gas since November, with many hospitalized, but none have died. Investigations are ongoing as officials have yet to identify the source of the poisonings.
