Brooks Robinson, an 18-time All-Star and legendary third baseman for the Baltimore Orioles, has passed away at the age of 83. He was signed by the Orioles in 1955 and went on to become one of the most decorated players in the history of the game, winning 16 consecutive Gold Glove Awards and making 18 All-Star appearances. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983 and his number 5 jersey was retired by the Orioles in 1977. Robinson is survived by his wife, three children, and six grandchildren and will be remembered as one of the greatest players in Orioles history.
Steve Harwell, the lead singer of the band Smash Mouth, has passed away at the age of 53. He had been battling medical issues for several years and was surrounded by family and friends when he passed away peacefully. Smash Mouth is best known for their 1999 hit “All Star” and has sold over 10 million albums worldwide, scoring two No. 1 hit singles, five Top 40 singles and a Grammy nomination. Harwell's death has been met with an outpouring of love and support from fans and fellow musicians.
