Husband of Day Care Owner Arrested in Mexico in Connection with Fentanyl-Related Death of 1-Year-Old Baby

A fourth person has been arrested in connection with the fentanyl-related death of a 1-year-old baby at a Bronx day care. The husband of the day care's owner was apprehended in Mexico after being seen on security footage carrying bags out the back alley of the day care on the day of the incident. Three other people have already been charged in connection with the incident, and the investigation is ongoing.

White House Dog Commander Involved in Another Biting Incident, Secret Service Confirms

This week, Commander, President Joe Biden's German shepherd, was involved in another biting incident, this time with a Secret Service Uniformed Division police officer. The White House Medical Office treated the female officer, and the First Family is working on ways to help Commander handle the unpredictable environment of the White House grounds. Nearly 200-pages of redacted federal documents released in October revealed that Commander had been involved in 10 biting incidents since October, and the Secret Service has taken steps to protect staff from the dog. The White House has not commented on the latest incident, but the Secret Service is taking the matter seriously.

Baltimore Homicide Investigation Underway After Body of 26-Year-Old Tech CEO Found with Signs of Blunt-Force Trauma

Police in Baltimore are investigating the homicide of 26-year-old tech CEO Pava LaPere, who was recently featured on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. An arrest warrant has been issued for 32-year-old Jason Billingsley on first-degree murder and additional charges. EcoMap Technologies, the company LaPere founded, released a statement expressing their shock and sadness.
