Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) is facing new charges alleging he accepted bribes from the Egyptian government and conspired to act as a foreign agent while serving as a member of Congress. The charges come as part of a long-running investigation into Menendez's relationship with a New Jersey businessman from Egypt, and the senator has denied any wrongdoing. His co-defendants, including his wife and the businessman, were also included in the new charges.

The Detroit Police Department released a statement on Sunday that there is no evidence to suggest that the fatal stabbing of Samantha Woll, the board president of Detroit's Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue, was motivated by antisemitism. Chief White said that the investigation is ongoing and that the DPD and FBI are working together to find out what happened. Funeral services for Woll were held Sunday afternoon and the DPD is asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
Two police officers in La Vergne, Tennessee were shot Saturday afternoon while investigating a stolen vehicle. The suspect in the shooting has been identified as John C. Drake, Jr., 38, the son of Metro Nashville Police Department Chief John Drake. Boleyjack and Kern, both of whom have been with the La Vergne Police Department for several years, were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police are warning the public not to approach Drake if they see him, as he is considered armed and dangerous.
Michigan State University has issued an apology after inappropriate content, including images of Adolf Hitler and his birthplace, was displayed on the video board prior to their football game against No. 2 Michigan. MSU is actively investigating the source of the content and has promised to take appropriate action to ensure this does not happen again.
Detroit Police responded to a 911 call on Saturday morning in the Lafayette Park neighborhood, where they found Samantha Woll, the president of the Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue, dead from multiple stab wounds. Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel confirmed the murder, and Mayor Mike Duggan released a statement expressing condolences. The Detroit Police Department is currently investigating the incident and a memorial fund has been set up in Woll's honor.
Washington County Circuit Court Judge Andrew Wilkinson was fatally shot in a targeted attack outside his home in Hagerstown, Maryland on Friday. The U.S. Marshals Service is now offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Pedro Argote, 49, who is wanted in connection with the killing. Argote has ties to multiple areas outside of Maryland and the Marshals Service is asking anyone with information to contact them.
Two people have been arrested in connection with a Lake Tahoe-area attack that left one man dead and his wife in critical condition. Danny Serafini, a former Major League Baseball pitcher, and Samantha Scott were arrested separately in Nevada in connection to the slaying of Robert Gary Spohr and the attempted murder of Wendy Wood. The Placer County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate the attack and is asking anyone with information to contact them.
