President Donald Trump has decided to temporarily pause his lawsuit against Michael Cohen, his former lawyer, due to a busy schedule.

Trump is currently required to sit for a deposition in a civil matter on Columbus Day, when he is scheduled to be in the Great State of New Hampshire. Additionally, he is fighting against meritless claims in New York, Washington D.C., Florida, and Georgia. Trump is also leading the Republicans by 60 points and Crooked Joe Biden by 11 points in his 2024 presidential campaign.

In a statement to CBS News, Trump’s campaign said that the civil and criminal battles he is waging, along with his 2024 presidential campaign, are currently occupying too much of his time to pursue the lawsuit at this time.

Trump’s lawsuit against Cohen was filed in April 2018, alleging that Cohen had defamed him by making false statements to the media. Cohen had previously pleaded guilty to lying to Congress about a proposed Trump Tower project in Moscow.

The lawsuit was dismissed in August 2018, but Trump appealed the decision. The appeal was still pending when Trump decided to pause the lawsuit.
