DeSantis said that Trump should participate in the debate and other events to “earn it with his vision.” He added that he himself will be attending the debate in Milwaukee on August 23rd and the FAMiLY Leadership Summit event in Iowa hosted by Tucker Carlson.

“You have got to earn the nomination, and doing things like the FAMiLY Leadership Summit event in Iowa, doing things like these debates — they’re important parts of the process,” said DeSantis. “I’ll be at all the debates because the American people deserve to hear from us directly about our vision.”
