Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef Announce End of Marriage with Love, Respect, and Dignity for Their Children

Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef have announced the end of their marriage. The Puerto Rican singer and Syrian Swedish painter released a joint statement on Thursday, saying that they have decided to end their marriage with love, respect, and dignity for their children.

The couple, who first connected on Instagram in 2015, have two-year-old daughter Lucia and one-year-old son Renn, in addition to twin sons Matteo and Valentino, born in 2008.

In their statement, they said, “For some time, we have considered transforming our relationship, and it is after careful consideration that we have decided to end our marriage with love, respect, and dignity for our children — preserving and honoring what we have experienced as a couple all of these wonderful years.”

The pair also expressed their desire to continue having a healthy family dynamic and a relationship centered on peace and friendship to continue the joint upbringing of their children.

“Our greatest desire now is to continue having a healthy family dynamic and a relationship centered on our genuine friendship as we continue the joint upbringing of our children, preserving the respect and love we have for each other,” they said.

The announcement was posted on both of their respective Instagram accounts, where they first connected in 2015. Martin and Yosef have not yet commented on the specifics of their split.
