Six people, including three children, were killed Monday in a shooting at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee. According to the Nashville Police Department, the shooter, identified as 28-year-old Audrey Hale, arrived at the private Christian school in a Honda Fit shortly before 10 a.m. Surveillance video released by police shows the shooter wearing a vest, camouflage pants and a red baseball cap turned backward, climbing through one of the door frames before the glass in the set of doors shattered.

The victims of the shooting were identified as 9-year-olds Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs and William Kinney, as well as 61-year-old Cynthia Peak, 60-year-old Katherine Koonce and 61-year-old Mike Hill. Police reported that the shooter’s victims were on the building’s first floor.

The community is still reeling from the tragedy, with many people visiting the memorial set up at the school. Natalia Cooper, whose children do not attend The Covenant School, said she came to the memorial to show her support. “That’s why I’m here,” she said.

The motive for the shooting is still under investigation. Nashville police are asking anyone with information to contact them. In the meantime, the community continues to mourn the loss of the six victims.
