No. 16-Seed Fairleigh Dickinson Knights Shock NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament with Upset Win Over No. 1-Seed Purdue Boilermakers

In a historic upset, the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights defeated the Purdue Boilermakers 63-58 in the first round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, becoming only the second No. 16 seed to ever win an NCAA Tournament game. Led by Sean Moore's 19 points and relentless hustle and defense, the Knights swarmed 7-foot-4 All-America center Zach Edey from the start. The Boilermakers had a chance to tie the game late, but a three-point shot missed, leaving head coach Tobin Anderson speechless on the court. This victory follows the first 16-over-1 victory five years ago when UMBC overwhelmed Virginia.
