Poker Player from Vallejo, California Admits to Lying About Having Terminal Cancer to Raise Money for World Series of Poker Tournament in Las Vegas

Rob Mercer, a poker player from Vallejo, California, has admitted to lying about having terminal cancer in order to raise money for a World Series of Poker tournament in Las Vegas. He had created a GoFundMe page which raised over $7,000 in donations before it was removed. Mercer has since returned the donations and expressed regret for his actions. It is unclear if he will still be allowed to participate in the tournament.

Doyle Brunson, known as the “Godfather of Poker” and “Texas Dolly,” passed away on Sunday. He was a two-time world champion and won 10 World Series of Poker tournaments, and was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2002. His influence on the poker world was immense and his legacy will live on for many years to come, with many taking to social media to share their condolences and memories.
