Father Stephen Gutgsell Dies After Being Attacked in Fort Calhoun Church Rectory

Father Stephen Gutgsell, a Catholic priest in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska, died on Sunday after being attacked in the rectory of his church. Suspect in Fatal Shooting of Maryland Judge Found Dead in Wooded Area

Authorities have found the body of Pedro Argote, the suspect accused of fatally shooting Maryland Circuit Court Judge Andrew Wilkinson outside his Hagerstown home on October 19. Argote had been on the run since the shooting, which occurred hours after Wilkinson had ruled against him in a child custody dispute. At 11 a.m. Thursday, a search in Williamsport led to the discovery of a deceased person who was positively identified as Argote. The cause of death is still under investigation.

A 65-year-old man from New York has been charged with second-degree murder after allegedly shooting and killing a 20-year-old woman in a car that mistakenly pulled into his driveway. Sheriff Jeffrey Murphy stated that the incident was a "tragic accident" and that Monahan had no intention of harming anyone. Friends and family of the victim have expressed their grief and disbelief over the tragedy, and Monahan is expected to appear in court soon.
