Former President Donald Trump Confident He Will Receive Fair Treatment in Georgia Courts in Criminal Election Interference Case

Former President Donald Trump has decided not to pursue a relocation of his criminal election interference case in Georgia to federal court, citing his confidence that the Georgia courts will provide him with a fair trial and due process. The case stems from a phone call Trump made to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in January, in which he was charged with two felonies. Trump's lawyers have argued for dismissal, but Judge McAfee has yet to rule on the motion.

The Arizona Court of Appeals has denied Kari Lake's request to set aside the results of the 2022 election for governor, upholding the lower court ruling that Lake had not provided evidence to support her claims. The court noted that Lake's arguments highlighted election-day difficulties, but that her request for relief failed due to lack of evidence. The court's decision is final and cannot be appealed.
