Former Business Associates of Steve Bannon Sentenced to Prison for Fraudulent Border Wall Fundraiser Scheme

Two former associates of Steve Bannon, Brian Kolfage and Andrew Badolato, have been sentenced to four years and three months in prison for their roles in the fraudulent We Build The Wall fundraising campaign. The two men were accused of using the money for personal expenses, including luxury vacations and home renovations, and had diverted more than $350,000 from the campaign for their own use. Bannon, who served as a top adviser to President Donald Trump, also faces fraud charges in connection with the campaign and is awaiting trial.

Senate to Vote on Resolution to Repeal 1991 and 2002 Authorizations for Wars in Iraq, Limiting Executive Branch War Powers

The U.S. Senate is set to vote Wednesday on a bipartisan resolution to repeal the 1991 and 2002 authorizations for the wars in Iraq. This resolution would revoke the executive branch's power to wage war without congressional approval, and is expected to pass easily. If passed, it would be a significant step in limiting the executive branch's power to wage war without congressional approval.
