The Manhattan District Attorney's office has reportedly begun to pressure former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg to cooperate with their investigation into former President Donald Trump's hush money payments to an adult film star during his 2016 campaign. Peña had been arrested by Albuquerque police in January after shots were fired at the home of a county commissioner in December and is believed to be the "mastermind" behind the attacks. Alec Baldwin and Hannah Gutierrez-Reed have been charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter in the 2021 fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the movie "Rust" in New Mexico. The assistant director, David Halls, has agreed to plead guilty to a charge of negligent use of a deadly weapon. The District Attorney's Office said that the decision to charge Baldwin and Gutierrez-Reed with involuntary manslaughter "distorts Halyna Hutchins' tragic death and represents a terrible miscarriage of justice."
