Active Shooter Situation Declared at Morgan State University, Multiple People Shot

On Tuesday night, a shooting occurred on the campus of Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, resulting in multiple people being shot. The Baltimore Police Department declared an active shooter situation and asked everyone to shelter in place, but later announced on social media that the incident was no longer considered an active shooting. The BPD is continuing to investigate the incident and is asking anyone with information to contact them, while the university has yet to release a statement.

Baltimore police are searching for Jason Dean Billingsley, a 32-year-old parolee wanted on a charge of first-degree murder in the killing of Pava LaPere, the 26-year-old CEO and founder of EcoMap Technologies. Billingsley is believed to be armed and dangerous, and police are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them. LaPere's death has left her family and friends in shock, with one friend saying, "It's just a tragedy. She was so young and had so much potential."

17 Injured, 2 Critically, After Public Bus Crashes into Cars and Building in Baltimore City

On Saturday morning, a public bus in Baltimore City crashed into two cars before hitting a building, injuring 17 people, two of them critically. The Baltimore Police Department responded to the scene and the Maryland Transit Administration reported that 10-15 people were transported to local hospitals. The MTA police department is actively investigating the incident and urged riders to use the Transit app for alert notifications.
