Tragedy Strikes: 7-Year-Old Child and Mother Die After Falling Overboard from Passenger Ferry in Baltic Sea

Two people, a 7-year-old child and his mother, have tragically died after falling overboard from a passenger ferry in the Baltic Sea. The victims were identified as a Polish woman born in 1985 and a Polish boy born in 2016, and Swedish police have launched a preliminary inquiry into murder. The Swedish Maritime Administration is asking for potential witnesses to come forward with any information they may have.

German Federal Prosecutor’s Office Investigating Mysterious Sabotage of Nord Stream Gas Pipelines in Baltic Sea

German authorities are investigating the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea last September. A vessel was searched from January 18 to 20 this year in connection with a suspicious ship rental, and there is suspicion that the ship could have been used to transport explosive devices used in the blasts. The German Federal Prosecutor's Office is continuing to investigate the incident and is working to determine the cause of the explosions and who was responsible.
