The NYPD has discovered a trap door in a Bronx day care center while conducting a search warrant in response to the death of a 1-year-old boy and the illness of three other children. Under the trap door, they found fentanyl, other narcotics and drug paraphernalia. The investigation is ongoing and the day care center has been closed since the incident last week.
Sophie Turner has filed a lawsuit against her ex-husband Joe Jonas in a Manhattan court, alleging that he has wrongfully retained their two young daughters in New York City since September 20. The filing seeks to secure the immediate return of the children to their habitual residence in England and also requests an order of protection and for Jonas to pay Turner's legal fees. The court documents come weeks after Jonas filed for divorce from the "Game of Thrones" star.
Two suspects, Mendez and Brito, have been arrested and are facing federal charges of conspiracy to distribute narcotics resulting in death in connection to the death of 1-year-old Nicholas Dominici at a day care facility in New York City. Police found a kilogram of fentanyl in the day care, enough to kill 500,000 people, and it is unclear how the child was exposed to it. The investigation is ongoing and the suspects are due to appear in court later this week.
