A new poll shows former President Donald Trump leading Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in the 2024 Republican primary race by 37 percentage points. Thomas Massie (R-KY) joked that DeSantis should get indicted to boost his poll numbers, but the poll showed Trump ahead even on DeSantis' signature issue of "fighting wokeness". Political analyst Hasan concluded that Trump has the race "to lose".

The Phoenix Suns have acquired 13-time All-Star Kevin Durant from the Brooklyn Nets in a blockbuster trade. Durant is still playing at an elite level, averaging nearly 30 points per game this season. The Suns are adding Durant to a starting lineup that already includes an All-Star backcourt of Chris Paul and Devin Booker, along with center Deandre Ayton, in a move that could drastically improve their playoff chances this season.
The Dallas Mavericks and Brooklyn Nets have agreed to a blockbuster trade, sending eight-time NBA All-Star Kyrie Irving to the Mavericks in exchange for Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, and a package of draft picks. Irving is a controversial figure in the NBA, but is still an eight-time All-Star and one of the most talented point guards in the league. The Mavericks are hoping that Irving can help the team reach the playoffs for the first time since 2015-16 and join a talented core of players in Dallas, including Luka Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis, and Tim Hardaway Jr.
