Washington County Circuit Court Judge Andrew Wilkinson was fatally shot in a targeted attack outside his home in Hagerstown, Maryland on Friday. The U.S. Marshals Service is now offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Pedro Argote, 49, who is wanted in connection with the killing. Argote has ties to multiple areas outside of Maryland and the Marshals Service is asking anyone with information to contact them.

The Hoover Police Department is investigating the mysterious disappearance of 25-year-old nursing student Carlee Russell, who called 911 to report seeing a toddler on the side of a busy highway. A Republican operative has filed a civil lawsuit against Matt Schlapp, chairman of the American Conservative Union, and his wife Mercedes Schlapp, seeking $9.4 million in damages. The plaintiff, who worked as an aide to Georgia Republican Senate nominee Herschel Walker, alleges that Schlapp sexually assaulted him during a car ride following a night of drinking. The lawsuit also claims that the Schlapps and others dishonestly tried to discredit the plaintiff. No court date has been set and the plaintiff is seeking a jury trial.
