Henry Ruggs III Sentenced to Three to Ten Years in Prison for Fatal 2021 Crash

Henry Ruggs III, a former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver, was sentenced to three to 10 years in prison on Wednesday for a fatal 2021 crash. Ruggs was driving his Corvette at 156 mph while intoxicated when he crashed into a Toyota RAV4, killing 23-year-old Tina Tintor. He apologized for his actions and his attorneys released a statement saying he was prepared to serve his time and "return to making positive contributions to his community."

Former Walt Disney World Employee Arrested and Charged with Video Voyeurism

A former Walt Disney World employee, Jorge Diaz Vega, has been arrested and charged with video voyeurism after being spotted by a witness shooting a video up an 18-year-old woman’s skirt. Vega allegedly told investigators he had done it more than 500 times over the past six years. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who may have been a victim of Vega’s voyeurism to come forward and Walt Disney World has expressed their shock and disappointment at Vega’s alleged behavior. Vega is currently being held in the Orange County Jail on a $2,000 bond.

The Oakland Athletics have taken a major step forward in their plan to build a new stadium in Las Vegas, with team president Dave Kaval announcing the purchase of a 49-acre site near the Las Vegas Strip. The stadium will have a seating capacity of 30,000 to 35,000 and will feature a retractable roof, and the A's will now work with Nevada and Clark County on a public-private partnership to fund the project. An off-duty pilot stepped in to help the crew of a Southwest Airlines flight on Wednesday after one of the on-duty pilots had a medical emergency mid-flight. A credentialed pilot from another airline, who was on board, entered the Flight Deck and assisted with radio communication while the Southwest pilot flew the aircraft. A nurse who was also on board helped care for the pilot, highlighting the importance of having qualified personnel on board flights in case of emergencies.

Joshua Nichols Pleads Guilty to Kidnapping and Armed Robbery in Las Vegas, Avoiding Trial Scheduled for Next Month

Joshua Isaac Nichols, son of Oklahoma City bombing co-conspirator Terry Nichols, has pleaded guilty to kidnapping and armed robbery in Las Vegas, avoiding a trial and resulting in a minimum of five years in prison. Hundreds of people gathered to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the bombing, which killed 168 people. Joshua and his co-defendant, George William Moya III, face a maximum of life in prison when they are sentenced on April 16 and 19 respectively.
