On June 29, 2022, a pilot and his aviation instructor flew a circuit around northern England, unaware that the instructor had suffered a fatal heart attack. The pilot thought the instructor was pretending to be asleep and continued the flight, only realizing something was wrong after landing. The Air Accidents Investigation Branch is continuing to investigate the incident and a report is expected to be released soon.

Lancashire Police have announced the discovery of a body in the River Wyre, close to where Nicola Bulley, 45, was last seen three weeks ago. Bulley's family has been informed of the discovery and Home Secretary Suella Braverman has expressed her sadness. The police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
