Former President Donald Trump has suggested that he may soon be charged in the Department of Justice's investigation into his handling of classified documents. He has denied any wrongdoing and accused the Justice Department of targeting him for political reasons, while noting that Hillary Clinton was not charged for having classified information on her private email server. Three of his lawyers were recently seen leaving the Justice Department after meeting with special counsel John Durham, who is leading the investigation.

Former President Donald Trump's lawyers were spotted at the Justice Department on Monday, as the grand jury investigating Trump's handling of classified documents is expected to meet again this week. Special counsel Jack Smith is investigating Trump after documents with classified markings were found at his Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago, in August 2022. Three of Trump's lawyers were seen walking into the Justice Department, and prosecutors are looking into whether there were efforts to obstruct attempts to recover the records. It is unclear when a charging decision will be made, or if the Justice Department will take any action against Trump or his associates.
Jim Trusty, an attorney for former President Donald Trump, has stated that he expects the Trump legal team to seek a motion to dismiss the historic New York City indictment over the $130,000 hush money payment to Stormy Daniels. Glenn Kirschner, a former U.S. Army prosecutor and legal analyst for MSNBC, has criticized House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) for attempting to probe the indictment, and Trusty has suggested that the Trump legal team will argue that the indictment is "overreaching" and "unconstitutional." It is yet to be seen if the motion to dismiss will be granted.
